Dammit - [Eren x Male!Reader]

    I still could recall that moment clearly even though I was drunk and completely wasted. How could I not?

    “You’re the worst. Goodbye, (name).”

    He slipped his jacket on with keys dangling on his fingertips and then he took off leaving sprawled on the floor. Felt confuse about anything that just happened.

    I tried to go after him way minutes later only to trip myself over my own feet and blacked out. I woke up on the floor with a massive hangover and an empty room.

    I huffed, groaned, and whined. Rolled around in the bed that was way too big for me. Buried my face into the pillows and screamed. But no, I refused to cry.

    “Why did you leave, Eren…” I whined to the ceiling with a pillow clutched in my arms.

     

    “Are you guys fighting?”

    The question definitely caught me off guard and resulted in me choked on my sandwich. After a few tearful coughs later, I looked up at the blonde man in front of me with a tearful eyes literally and a pitiful face.

    “…is it that obvious?”

    “What did you do, (name)?”

    Annie stared at me accusingly with her usual blank expression.

    “How is it that is suddenly became my fault?” I exclaimed.

    “Because if Eren was the one at fault, you’d be bitching about it ages ago.”

    She just shrugged and sipped on her drink.

    I gritted my teeth in frustration because it was correct somehow and I hated the fact that she knew me way too well.

    In the middle of my frustrated mode, the trio around me gave that pointy look which annoyed me even more because they all know that Annie was right and waited for me to admit it.

    “I don’t even know what I did wrong!”

    I finally admitted with a sigh.

    “How can you don’t know?” Reiner scoffed at me.

    “Because I was drunk! Wasted as fuck!” I confessed angrily.

    “(name), whatever you did, I think it’s a terrible one because I heard that Eren asked Armin to crash on his place for a few days.”

    Bertholdt gave me a pity look which followed by the others too.

    Meanwhile my eyes just went wide after I heard the information.

    “Seriously?”

    Now he only smiled sadly at me.

    “I’m so… fucked.” I whined as I buried my face onto my palms.

    “Better hurry and apologize to him.” Annie advised.

    “I told you that I don’t even know what I did wrong…” I muttered.

    “Does it really matter? Man, if you really love him then you should just drop your pride.”

    Reiner jabbed at my side playfully but still made I winced in pain.

    “Everything would be a whole lot easier if I could do that, genius.” I snapped.

    “Hang in there. I have class after this, I’ll be leaving first.”

    Annie patted my shoulder before she stood up and left.

    It’s been four days and still no Eren in our shared apartment. Though I noticed that few of his clothes were gone around yesterday.

    “Geez, what did I do wrong honestly…”

    I groaned to the ceiling all by myself once again that night.

     

    I went with the usual trio to the library. Annie promised to help me with accounting subject while Reiner and Bertholdt needed to finish their papers.

    And that’s when I met with Eren for the first time since that night. He walked next to Armin with a couple of books clutched in his arm.

    I freeze in my track along with others as they also recognized the brunette.

    I swore that I caught Eren took a glance at me, but that’s it. He walked right past me without spare me even a word. Though Armin gave me an apologetic look as he walked past me and followed his friend outside.

    “Ohh… that’s harsh.” Reiner patted my shoulder.

    “Are you alright, (name)?” Bertholdt asked softly.

    “You might want to look harder for the solution, (name). If you ever want to fix this that is…”

    Annie grabbed my hand and dragged me to the closest empty table. I dropped onto the seat weakly and banged my head to the table.

    “…I guess so.”

    I could only sigh and focused on the damn accounting.

     

    Today marked a week since Eren left. And no, I still don’t have a single idea what my fault was that night. And not, I haven’t tried to contact Eren yet which apparently he did the same too.

    I only have one class later at noon while the others have their classes this morning. Maybe I’d hang around with them for lunch and waited for my class. And for that little purpose I gave a lot of effort to drag my sorry ass out of the bed and walked all the way to the campus.

    We had lunch while we trash-talked our profs for the bunch of shitty papers they’ve given till now. And that’s when I noticed a familiar black haired guy entered the café.

    “Oh, heichou!” I called out as I lifted my hand to get his attention.

    He spared me one glance before he looked away with a scowl. He just walked further inside the café followed by his other two friends. Hanji laughed and waved back at me while Erwin just flashed me his usual charming smile.

    “Your high school friends?” Annie asked.

    “Yep.” I grinned at them.

    “I thought that Eren didn’t like your old friends. You still hang around with them after all?” Bertholdt asked.

    “I know, but it’s not like I hang around with them 24/7 like before.” I shrugged.

    “Why Eren didn’t like them anyway? They look like an interesting group.” Reiner joined the interrogation.

    “They are interesting alright!” I exclaimed with a laugh. “But we always did stuff that were slightly dangerous for fun. Eren mentioned he didn’t like it so I’ve been distancing myself from the group.”

    “What kind of slightly dangerous stuff? Drugs?”

    “Hell no. Let’s see… we did motor racing quite often, bungee jump over a bridge, climb a cliff, that sort of stuff.”

    “Well, I can see the reason why Eren would want you to stay away from them. At least that means he cherish you.”

    Annie gave me her rare smiles which widen my own smile.

    “Enough talking. I’ll be going over there for a bit, kay.”

    I excused myself from the table and strolled to other table instead.

    “Did you guys miss me!?”

    I grabbed Levi’s shoulders from behind and leaned over all my weight on him and grinned down at Hanji and Erwin.

    “Get off!”

    Levi pinched my hand painfully so I kept my hands off of him and sat next to him instead.

    “It’s been ages, (name)! How are you?”

    Hanji asked with their usual enthusiasm.

    “I’m great!” I smiled widely but then I remembered the stuff that happened between Eren and I. “Nope, not so great…” I sunk in my seat.

    “What’s wrong?” Erwin asked.

    “I kinda fighting with my boyfriend…” I said softly.

    “Ahh, that brunette cutie?” Hanji asked.

    “What did you do?” Levi asked me accusingly.

    “Why is everyone always assume that I’m in the wrong!?” I yelled.

    “Because you haven’t bitching about it.” They said in unison.

    “Fine! But I don’t even remember what I did wrong because I was too drunk at that time.” I said solemnly.

    “That sucks. I bet you haven’t done anything to fix it yet because of your fucking pride.”

    Levi sneered as he sipped his coffee.

    I gasped at his bold statement and stared at him in disbelieve.

    “Why are you so mean to me!?”

    “Face the damn truth like a fucking real man, (name).” He scoffed at me.

    “Aww, my poor little friend. How long have you been fighting?”

    Hanji’s question stopped me from strangling the very person sat next to me.

    “Umm, it’s been a week…”

    “So you got so drunk you don’t remember what you did to pissed of your boyfriend a week ago?” Hanji repeated.

    “Oh, isn’t that around the same time when you drunk-dialed Levi?” Erwin asked casually.

    “Ahh… that creepy call…” Levi sighed.

    “Wait, I did what?” I looked around in confusion.

    “You don’t remember that too?”

    Hanji’s laughter made me even more confuse so I just sat there speechless.

    “You called Levi that night and begged to let you join the next expedition.” Erwin explained.

    “Seriously? And then what?” I asked curiously.

    “He just called you a fucking drunkard and told you to do as you please.” Hanji said between their giggles.

    “I don’t understand. That’s the usual Levi, what’s so funny about it?” I asked again, still confused by Hanji’s laughter.

    “Because after that you started to blabbered your undying love to me. Fucking gross.”

    Levi scowled at the memory while I went tense in my seat from a massive shock.

    “I-what!? I fucking did what!?”

    I yelled in disbelieve caused Hanji to laughed out of control. Even Erwin had to stifled his laugh.

    “I’m not saying it twice.” He said curtly.

    “If I remember correctly, you said something along captain, I love you the most in this world, I’ll love you till the day I die.” Erwin said with a soft laugh.

    “Yep, and a bunch of I love you for the rest of the call all directed to our beloved Levi-heichou.” Hanji added as they wiped the tears that had formed on their eyes.

    “Why would I say I love you to a mean guy like him!?”

    I pointed harshly to the black haired guy beside me.

    “Like fucking hell if I know. Stop pointing at me like that.”

    Levi glared at me with a promise in his eyes that he would hurt me if I don’t do it so I dropped my hand.

    All of a sudden Hanji stopped their laugh with a loud gasp which made all of us turn to look at them.

    “Why did you fight with Eren again?” Hanji asked me again.

    “I don’t know… I was drunk. All I remember was him saying I’m the worst, goodbye and then he left.” I slumped back against my seat.

    Erwin’s eyes widen in recognition as he heard my short heartbreaking story and caught what Hanji realized.

    “What if Eren heard you drunk dialed Levi that night?” Erwin asked but more like he stated it.

    “It makes sense. He called you the worst because he thought that you’re flirting openly right in front of him.” Levi said in agreement.

    I blinked rapidly to let the information sink in. but when it did, I become more depressed.

    “How am I gonna fix this… and I promised Eren that I won’t join any expedition ever again.”

    “Just lose the damn pride already and fucking apologize to him. Problem solved.” Levi said with a shrug.

    “Ugh… I know that damn well…” I sighed.

    “Hang in there, (name).” Erwin cheered.

    “Yea, of course you can do it. Go and win him back after you apologize and explain everything properly.” Hanji added.

    “I wanted to give all of you a hug.” I said with a fake sob.

    “Count me out and stay the fuck away from me.” Levi glared at me again.

    “Of course you can hug me, hon. If you’re willing to jump this table that is.” Hanji smiled and so was Erwin.

    “Then I’ll save the hug session for another time. I’ve left my friends a little bit too long and I also have class after this.” I said as I stood up.

    “Give the cutie brunette out best regard.” Hanji waved at me as I leave their table.

    “Guys, I think I figured out what my fault was.”

    I stopped talk as I approach my seat and they’re all gave me pity looks.

    “…what?” I asked cautiously.

    “(name), whatever it was… it just got doubled.”

    Annie was the first one to broke the silence with vague information so I kept stare at them in full confusion as I slowly sat down on my seat.

    “Eren was just here…” Bertholdt spoke softly.

    “And he watched you hugged that black haired dude…” Reiner added.

    “Then he left.” Annie delivered the finishing blow.

    “…I’m fucked…” I said blankly.

     

    Later that day I finally called Armin.

    “Hey Armin, Eren there with you?” I asked softly.

    “Not at the moment, why?”

    Armin sounded kind of worried and relieved at the same time after he got my call.

    “I have a favor…”

     

    “Armin, what took you so long? I’ve finished 3 rounds already.”

    Eren sat on the floor with his eyes glued to the TV screen in front of him.

    Hhh, thank God…

    I flopped down behind him and wrapped my arms around his torso and buried my face on his shoulder.

    I could feel him got tense under my touch as he realized who I was. Eren lost the game, I could hear the end music played as he set down the controller on the floor.

    “…I’m sorry.” I muttered.

    There was a long silence before Eren decided to give a reply.

    “What for?”

    “I’m not sure…”

    He let out a heavy sigh.

    “For drunk dialed Levi and somehow said that I love him.”

    I finally confessed and we stayed silence again.

    “That’s it?” he asked and this time I’m the one that didn’t give any reply.

    “You just gonna leave the part where you hugged him today?” he said curtly.

    “About that… I think you misunderstood the situation, I didn’t hug Levi.”

    I lifted my head from his shoulder and loosen my hug on him.”

    “Which part that I failed to understand exactly?” he sent a glance at me.

    “If I wanted to hug him…”

    I stood on my knees to make myself taller and wrapped my arms around his neck instead and leaned in.

    “I’m gonna do it like this.”

    “How is it any different than today?” he asked in annoyance.

    “Like this.”

    I straighten myself once again and grabbed his shoulder like I did on Levi earlier and leaned forward again so I pushed my weight down on him. From behind, I did look like I was hugging someone.

    Eren instantly braced his hands on the floor to keep him from crushed down. When he didn’t say anything, I began to speak again.

    “I always did this to him all the time… because he’s short and he’s also afraid that it would make him even shorter somehow.” I explained with a soft laugh.

    I went back to wrapped my arms around his neck and fully leaned on him.

    “…are you still angry?”

    No answer.

    “Do you seriously think that I would cheat on you with such a mean guy like him?”

    No answer.

    “Look, he even left a bruise on my hand after I teased him like just now.”

    I showed him the back of my hand which had a dark bruise on it. Seconds after I showed it to Eren, he suddenly leaned forward and turned his head to sneaked surprise kiss that indeed caught me off my guard but didn’t mind at all. I instantly melted into the kiss.

    “…is this your way of saying that you forgive me…?” I asked cautiously.

    Eren turned around, pulled me onto his lap and hugged me. He buried his face on my shoulder.

    “I can’t believe I got jealous over something like this…” he muttered, his voice was muffled by my jacket.

    I could see the tip of his ear were read so I let out a soft laugh as I leaned myself closer to him and hugged him back.

    “Yea, I can’t believe either…”

    We stayed like that for a couple minutes before I felt Eren peppered my neck with small kisses, up to my jaw and finally kissed my lips. I melted into the kiss as I barely registered my back was laid flat on the floor with Eren hovering over me. His hands were on each side of my head while one of my hands was threaded into his soft hair while the other clinging around his neck.

    I broke off the kiss as much as I hate to do it and stare at him in a daze.

    “Eren… you do realize… we can’t do anything in here, right?” I asked in pants.

    “What are you talking about?” he huffed.

    “Armin is sitting his ass on the café around the corner because I practically kicked him out of his own apartment so I can talk with you.” I explained sheepishly.

    “Fuck, I forgot where we are…”

    Eren turned red as he removed himself from on top of me quickly.

    “You better thank me for stopping you.”

    I sat up swiftly and sneaked a chaste kiss from Eren before I stood up.

    “Let’s give his apartment back and return to ours, shall we?”

    I offered him my hand as I smiled at him.

    “Sounds like a plan.” He smiled back at me and took my hand.
